Beech bowl – 17cm

I have spent many years learning how to turn bowls using a pole lathe or my self built motor lathe. I use my own forged hook tools to form the bowls. This is the method used for centuries by bowl turners throughout the world
These bowls are made to be used to eat from. I utilise hardwood’s which are ideal for this purpose. I turn the bowls when they are still slightly ‘green’, so that in the seasoning the bowls twist attractively.
Each bowl is seasoned for a minimum of six weeks, then oiled using organic cold pressed raw linseed oil. They are ready to use and ongoing care will only require occasional re-oiling
